What is Nano Needling?

There are a host of skin treatments available to address most skin issues. Many products claim to fix fine lines, wrinkles, and crow’s feet but never seem to work as well as we would like. Is there something that gets real results for treating wrinkles, scarring, crow’s feet and acne scars? Yes, there is– it’s called Nano Needling.

Many people hear the word needle and say a quick “no thank you!” The more you learn about this incredible procedure the more you will want to say “yes please!”

What is Nano Needling?

Nano Needling is a skin treatment performed by a licensed esthetician that uses a pen with 36 very tiny needles to penetrate the top layer of skin. When the needles hit the skin, they create hundreds of microchannels that can be used to absorb topical treatments. This technique is referred to as a “controlled injury treatment” because the esthetician is “injuring” the skin by piercing it with tiny needles so the skin will produce more collagen and elastin. When skin is injured, it creates these two substances to help heal itself and create more cell turnover. The procedure is relatively painless and will not leave any permanent damage.

The technique used in Nano Needling works as a great delivery method for applying potent products deeper into the skin, allowing them to work more effectively and work longer since the treatment cannot rub off with daily activity.

What does Nano Needling Treat?

Nano Needling has been proven effective for treating a variety of skin conditions such as:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Acne Scars
  • Crow’s feet and sagging eyelids
  • Enlarged pores
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Aging
  • Acne

Is it Safe?

Nano Needling is extremely safe and relatively painless. Within 15 minutes of completing the procedure, your skin cells return to their original position, making it look like the skin was never “injured” at all. The only telling sign that you had a treatment will be redness but that should dissipate within a day or two. Three to five days after a treatment, some patients experience peeling. This is normal; your body is creating new skin cells that will help improve the look and feel of your skin. This side effect should dissipate within seven days of the treatment.

Why should I get Nano Needling?

There is no other treatment on the market that can effectively treat as many skin issues. Topical creams are not as effective or fast acting as a Nano Needling session. Injections are more invasive and can cause allergic reactions that can leave your skin in worse shape than before the injections. This technique is non-invasive and relatively painless. No other treatment will work as well or as fast as Nano Needling.
